As an art director at KIWI Magazine, I was involved in reworking the overall look and feel of the publication from layout and typography to art direction of photography and illustration. Kiwi’s mission is to introduce families to the latest in natural and organic living—showing how to practice this lifestyle on an everyday basis. Heeding the challenges of a start-up budget, My partner and I frequently contributed to the magazine’s creative by contributing custom spot and typographic illustrations. Since the redesign, KIWI has taken off (literally), a copy of KIWI Magazine is given to families on American Airlines flights from New York to LA.
